Abraham Benjamin de Villiers, who captains the South African One Day International (ODI) team having succeeded Graeme Smith after the 2011 Cricket World Cup. He is also part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He is ranked 3rd in the Test batting rankings and 1st in the ODI batting rankings. The son of Dr Abraham P de Villiers, he attended Afrikaans High School for Boys, also known as Affies, a public school located in Pretoria. De Villiers is a right-handed batsman, who, in a very short space of time has accumulated many runs in Tests including 16 centuries and 32 fifties. He still holds the record for most Test innings without registering a duck (78) before being dismissed for nought against Bangladesh in November 2008. He also holds the second-highest individual score by a South African batsman in an innings, with 278*. Until 2012, he was an occasional wicket-keeper for South Africa, although since the retirement of regular Test keeper Mark Boucher and under his own ODI captaincy he has started to regularly keep wicket for the national side in Tests ODIs and T20s. He is also commonly regarded as one of the best fielders currently in international cricket and is considered to be the best South African fielder since Jonty Rhodes.

Johannes Albertus Morkel better known as Albie Morkel, is a South African cricketer. He is an all-rounder who bowls right-arm medium fast and bats left-handed. He is famous for his six hitting abilities in Twenty20 cricket. Albie has a brother, Morné Morkel, who also plays international cricket for South Africa while his father Albert played provincial cricket in South Africa.

Alviro Nathan Petersen plays his domestic cricket in England for Somerset and in South Africa for the Highveld Lions. A right-handed batsman, he has represented South Africa in Test, One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 cricket. He is the captain of the Highveld Lions in South African domestic cricket. Petersen was born and raised in the township of Gelvandale in Port Elizabeth and attended the same state high school as fellow South African Test batsman Ashwell Prince. His father was a taxi driver. He played for South Africa A before breaking into South Africa's ODI squad in 2006, playing in two matches against Zimbabwe. He made his Test debut in February 2010 against India in Kolkata, and he scored a century. He is the third player to score a century on Test debut for South Africa, after Andrew Hudson and Jacques Rudolph. Later in 2010, Petersen played for Kings of Khulna in Bangladesh's NCL Twenty20 tournament. He also played in the three Tests of South Africa's tour of the West Indies, the two Tests of the series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates, and all three Tests of the drawn home series against India.

Christopher Henry Morris is a South African international cricketer who plays first-class and List A cricket for Highveld Lions. He is a member of the Chennai Super Kings team, who play in the Indian Premier League. The right arm fast-medium bowler who has taken 35 T20 wickets from 24 innings at an average of 16.68 at an impressive economy rate of 6.57. Morris is also a handy batsman lower down the order and has a strike rate of over 175. Morris gave a standout performance in the 2012 domestic league in South Africa, where he fetched 21 wickets in 12 games and his strike-rate with the bat was around 200. Morris made his T20I debut for South Africa on 21 December 2012 against New Zealand. He had figures of 3.4-0-19-2 in that game before suffering an injury.

Colin Alexander Ingram is a South African cricketer who currently plays for the Warriors. He represented South Africa at the 2004 U-19 Cricket World Cup played in Bangladesh. Ingram made his Twenty20 International debut against Zimbabwe during Zimbabwe's tour of South Africa in 2010, playing in both matches. He didn't get a chance to bat for a long while, scoring a total of 15 runs in the two-match series (3 & 12) as South Africa registered victories in both matches. He made his mark on his ODI debut in the ODI series against Zimbabwe in 2010 that followed the T20 series by scoring a century (124), only the sixth person to score a century on debut and the first South African ever to carry this honour.
